It is with great sadness that the Evans Family announce the loss of their beloved Husband, Father, Opa, Brother and Uncle. Willie T. Evans, age 71, of Royal Palm Beach, FL, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, in the Communal Living Center of the VA Medical Center.

He was born in Yanceyville, North Carolina where he was the oldest of 10 children. He joined the Air Force right out of high school where he put to good use the responsibilities of an oldest child for 33 years and 22 days.

In 1991 he proudly retired as Chief Master Sergeant of Bitburg Air Force Base in Bitburg, Germany and retired a second time in 1998 after working for Pratt & Whitney and living in Royal Palm Beach, FL with his family, for 23 years.

Willie is survived by his wife of 24 years, Monika Evans; his daughters, Carmyn J.E. Samuel of Tampa, FL and Insa B. Evans of Portland, Oregon; son-in-law Woodrow Samuel II of Tampa, FL; grand children, Camille, Cameron and Cadence Samuel of Tampa, FL; and 6 surviving siblings, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 10:15a.m., at the Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Rd., Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
