WALTER RESCHMAN born 4/2/1924 of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away October 25, 2021 at the age of 97, while under Hospice care.
Walter was born in New York, NY and raised in Brooklyn, NY. At 19 he began serving his country on the front lines of WWII as a rifleman in the 289th infantry, 75th division of the US Army.
He served from February 3, 1943- January 9th 1946 when he received an honorable discharge and Purple Heart after being wounded in battle.
After returning home he went straight to work to provide for both his mother and his sister.
Upon graduating as a stenographer on 6/20/1950 he began working for The Attorney General of New York State where he worked for 13 years, he then transferred to the New York Department of Taxation where he worked for 3 years.
He married his first wife Jacqueline Lieberman Reschman in 1959 and they relocated to Los Angeles, California. He lost his wife to cancer December, 7th 1982.
Walter then retired from the Los Angeles County superior court in 1986 where he worked as a court reporter and relocated to South Florida where he met and married his second wife Delores Blackman who he lost 2/10/20.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph And Beatrice Reschman, his first wife Jacqueline Reschman and second wife Delores Blackman Reschman and his sister Ruth Cohen.
He is survived by his two children Gregory Evan Reschman (Greg) of Hayesville, NC and Amy Joyce Reschman Foote of Fleetwood, NC and daughter in law Susan Creasman Reschman

He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Christopher Anthony Foote of Asheville, NC, Sterling Hastings Foote, Raleigh, NC Joshua Miguel Foote, Asheville, NC, Lily Alexandra Foote of Boone NC, Grayson Liam Reschman, Fleetwood, NC, Charles James Creasman (CJ) Andrews, NC, Harrison L. Levin and Holly S. Levin and one great granddaughter Kimsey Nichole Dixie Creasman.
A funeral is planned for December 7th 2021 at The South Florida National Cemetery Chapel in Lake Worth, Florida where Walter will be laid to rest with Military Honors.
