Vivian Scult, age 91 passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 3, 2019 in Delray Beach, Florida. The daughter of Samuel and Sophie Brown, she was born and raised in Chelsea, MA.
Vivian was predeceased by her first husband of 40 years, Herbert Siegal and her sister Marilyn Kobrin.
Vivian is survived by her husband Irwin Scult; sons Mark (Jean), Bryan (Lori) and Edward (Dana) Siegal; stepsons Larry (Ellen) and David (Liane) Scult; seven grandchildren Jonathan (Elizabeth) Siegal, Sabrina (Jason) Fenton, Jennifer Sinnott, Jessica (Michael) O'Connell, Jenelle (Jonathan) Hayward, Samantha (Mike Kaplan) Siegal and Stephanie (Kevin) Accolla; four step-grandchildren Matthew, Corey, Taylor and Kelsey Scult; nine great-grandchildren Daniella and Christopher Sinnott, Abigail, William and Ava Siegal, Tyler and Lila O'Connell and Maslow and Camille Hayward. Vivian is also survived by her sister-in-law Cynthia Siegal and was the beloved aunt to many nephews and a niece.
Vivian was a teacher at the Chelsea YMHA and later the Director of Six Acres Nursery School at Temple Shalom in Medford, MA. Vivian owned her own antique shop and promoted antique shows with her late husband Herbert. In her later years she and her husband Irwin enjoyed global travel.
In addition, she was a lifetime member of Hadassah and Women's Council of Temple Shalom. She was an active member of the Brandeis Women's Organization and Chelsea, MA Jewish Nursing Home.
Following a private memorial service, she will be laid to rest at The Gardens of Boca Raton cemetery.
