Virginia "Ginger" K. Rojohn (Malloy) passed away peacefully at her residence in Tequesta, Florida, on May 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of deep faith, love, and cherished memories.
Born on July 6, 1939, Ginger was raised in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where she excelled academically and graduated from Fort Dodge High School as the class valedictorian. She went on to further her education, studying at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She eventually settled in Denver, Iowa, where she and her beloved late husband, Claire Rojohn, raised their family.
To those who knew her, she wore many titles: Virginia, Ginger, Mom, and Grandma. While raising her children in Iowa, she was actively involved in their youth activities, serving for years as a Cub Scout leader, Brownie leader, and Girl Scout leader.
Ginger and Claire shared a life full of activities and adventure. For many years, they were accomplished square dancers, enjoying the challenge of dancing at the advanced levels. They treasured time spent at their property on the Mississippi River, where Ginger loved being surrounded by her family while enjoying days filled with boating, swimming, and water skiing.
In their later years, Ginger and Claire relocated to Juno Beach, Florida. The coastal sunshine suited her, and she took immense joy in hosting family visits and introducing others to her favorite beachy areas. Creating unforgettable memories with those she loved most. She had a deep faith and spent much time studying her Bible. She possessed an enduring appreciation for literature , music and song. Her interests also extended to many of God's creatures, with a special fondness for cats.
She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Claire Rojohn.
Her love and spirit live on through her family: Her Children: Claire Rojohn (Joan), Craig Rojohn (Ann), and Christy Ponce (Mario). Her Grandchildren: Claire III, Carly, Nikol, Alixandria, Sean, Amanda, Douglas. Eight cherished Great-Grandchildren:
Ginger will be profoundly missed, but her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace with her Lord.
