Age 29, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away February 3, 2014 in Clarksville, TN. Steven was born in Flushing, New York. He was a student at Nashville State Community College. Steven was a veteran of the US Army. He was also a great brother, son and friend to many.
Survivors include his parents, Eric and Irma Akiva of Boca Raton, FL; three brothers, Erez Akiva of Chicago, IL; Guy Akiva of Brooklyn, NY and David Akiva of Boca Raton, FL; Paternal Grandmother, Ruth Akiva of Israel, Maternal Grandparents, Raul Rosales of Orlando, FL and Olga Rosales of Brooklyn, NY.
A Funeral Service will be held at 8:45 AM, Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, FL. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at 9:45 AM at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
The Family suggests memorials to the Wounded Warrior Projects, 4899 Delfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or the patriotguard.org and also Patriot Guard Riders, Inc. 6641 E. 85th Street North Owasso, Ok 74055 in his memory.
