Sarah Bagdasarian of Tamarac, Florida passed away at the age of 94 years on Sunday, October 29,2023 in Boca Raton, Florida. Sarah was the matriarch of the Bagdasarian Family.
Sarah had a great sense of humor and loved to dance, laugh, and cook Armenian dishes. Her life revolved around her family, who meant the world to her. Mrs. Bagdasarian was one of the original benefactors and highly involved in St. David Armenian Apostolic Church in Boca Raton, including the Women's Guild.
Sarah had been a resident of South Florida since 1978 after moving from Cleveland, Ohio. She was born in Watervliet, N.Y. to Mardig and Rose Nazarian, survivors of the Armenian Genocide. She is survived by her children, Rosann Bagdasarian, Richard (Pamela) Bagdasarian, and Keith (Nancy) Bagdasarian, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is predeceased by her devoted and loving husband of 64 years, Richard Bagdasarian, her oldest and caring daughter, Susan (Robert) Duffy, and Sarah's four siblings.
On Thursday, November 9th, the family will receive friends at Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, Florida, 33449 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. There will be a religious ceremony at 12:00 PM, and at 1:15 PM, a graveside service will be held at South Florida National Ceremony, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. David Armenian Apostolic Church, 2300 Yamato Road, Boca Raton Florida 33431.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palm Beach National Cemetery.
