Sally H. Franke of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on November 18, at the age of 88.  After a brief illness, she died with family by her side.  She was born in Jeanette, PA on July 14, 1933, to the late Lloyd Harshey and Florence Simpson.

Sally was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother foremost.  Pictures and collages of family filled her home and she liked nothing more than telling the stories behind them.  She also cherished homemade cards and crafts from the grandkids for whatever occasion and would proudly put them on display.

Sally had a passion for art.  She graduated with a degree in art from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and put it to good use as an art teacher.  Her career as a teacher was short-lived as her calling as a dedicated mom took top priority.  But she never lost that passion and went through various stages as a painter, sculptor, jeweler and metalsmith.  She won numerous awards for her jewelry at art shows throughout south Florida.  Her homes were always filled with her creative treasures.

Sally also had a love for movies, sports and a good card or board game.  In recent years, she would play her favorite clips from movies right before bed for inspiration.  And she rarely missed a game when her favorite teams like the Dolphins, Steelers, Hurricanes or Heat were playing.

Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert A. Franke, and her brothers Lloyd and Jack Harshey.  She is survived by her children Mark Franke (Jeanny), Dana Kretschmar (Bill) and Kirk Franke (Lori); grandchildren Reece, Jensyn, Jordan, Justin, Carson and Crosby.

Visitation and Memorial services will be held at 10:00 and 11:00 AM, Monday, January 17, 2022 at West Palm Beach National Chapel on 10055 Heritage Farms Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33449.  Burial will follow in South Florida National Cemetery at 6501 SR7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
