Rochelle Lois Bergman was born in Brooklyn New York to the late Julius and Beatrice Levitz and grew up in New Britain, Connecticut. She passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2025 with her son Frank and daughter-in-law Jodi at her side. Shellie graduated from college in Hartford with a bachelor's degree in English.

Shellie was a fun-loving, witty, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, and friend with an immense sense of humor that never went unnoticed. Shellie married Garry Seymour Bergman in Hartford, Connecticut on April 12th, 1959, and they raised their two sons, Jules Bergman, and Frank Bergman, with the undying love and humor that was distinctly identifiable throughout their entire marriage of sixty-five years.

Shellie and Garry moved to Florida in 1977 and
They settled in Plantation, Florida; later moving to Villaggio in Lake Worth, Florida; and eventually moving to the Palace at Weston in 2022. Shellie was a loyal, honest, hardworking, loving, and funny lady who enjoyed playing mahjong, tennis, and spending quality time with her beloved family and friends.

Shellie is survived by her son Frank, her daughter-in-law, Jodi, and her grandson Joseph. She is preceded in death by her son, Jules Bergman, her brother Bob Levitz, her husband Garry Bergman and her parents. Shellie will be lovingly missed by her family and friends, but she will live on in the hearts of all that knew and adored her.
