Roberta D. Alcott Bal went home to Heaven on June 16, 2026.
As the devoted wife of Army officer LTC Roscius “Chief” Bal, Bobbie embraced the adventure and challenges of military life. She traveled and lived throughout the United States and abroad, from Hawaii to Europe, creating a warm and loving home wherever the Army called them. Chief often joked that while he held the military rank, she was the true “General” of the family, keeping everything running like a well-oiled machine.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Wesley T. Bal and Doreen F. Bal Milfeld; her grandchildren, Lea Milfeld, Ryan Milfeld, Stephanie Milfeld, Matthew Louzon, Kristin Bal Borge, and Chris Borge; and her great-granddaughter, Hailey Borge. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LTC Roscius “Chief” Bal; her son-in-law, Robert Milfeld; and her loving granddaughter, Rachel Bal.
Bobbie will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering devotion to her family, and her ability to make every house a home. She touched countless lives with her warm heart, generous spirit, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
