Kane, Sr.
April 2, 1932 – January 1, 2025
Kane, Robert Russell, age 92, passed away on January 1, 2025. He was born in Glen Ridge, N.J. to Russell and Gladys Kane.
Robert (Bob) enlisted for three years in the United States Army as a paratrooper and truck repair technician. He worked for Bell South until he "retired." He built three of his own homes and had a repair and maintenance business. His last job was as a crossing guard in the Florida Keys, where he loved talking with all the students. He could fix almost anything. He loved fishing, playing solitaire, reading his Bible, and his family.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Preudhomme Kane; his sister, Irene Kroll; granddaughter, Krystal Kane Boulton; and stepson, Wayne Lowthorp.
He is survived by his sister Audrey Loy, brothers Norman Kane(Trish) and Dan Kane, daughter Donna Durand(Daniel), and son Robert Kane(Janice). He is also survived by stepdaughters Valerie Jordan and Karen Bryer. He had ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, plus several nieces and nephews.
A family service will be held at 11:30 am at Palm Beach National Funeral Home & Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, FL 33449
Burial for Bob and his wife, Christine Kane will follow at 1:00 pm at South Florida National Cemetery.
