Robert "Bob" Buggee peacefully passed away on March 10, 2025, at the age of 83. He was a warm, humorous, and loving family man, deeply devoted to his family, his country, classic cars, and dogs. As a veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served as a submariner on the U.S. Requin.

After his discharge from the Navy, Bob married Linda Baskin Buggee, and they would have celebrated 56 years of marriage this week. He supported his family as a land surveyor, owning two successful businesses, including Bob Buggee, Inc. ("The Surveyor"), which is now run by his son, Ryan Buggee, and his wife, Audrey Johnson-Buggee. His other son, Jeff Buggee, also served in the Navy and works as a land surveyor in Seattle.

While Jeff was stationed on an aircraft carrier overseas during Operation Desert Storm, Bob expressed his support by tying yellow ribbons around every tree in the parking lot of the Boynton Beach Mall as he walked his beloved family dog, Bernie, each morning. Bob was also very proud of his daughter, Janet Buggee Avery (married to Doug), who is a lawyer in New Orleans and the mother of his grandchildren, Owen and Kate Avery. He cherished his role as "Poppie" and loved sharing his passion for Scooby-Doo with them whenever he could.

Everyone loved Bob, and even on his last day, he was cracking jokes with the nurses at the hospital. The Buggee family has lost a true treasure, and he will be greatly missed. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Marian; his father, Robert Sr.; and his sister, Pat. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and his brother, Roy.

The family invites everyone to honor Bob during a visitation at the Palm Beach National Chapel on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 4 PM. Refreshments will follow at 5760 Pebble Brook Lane, Boynton Beach, FL 33472. In lieu of flowers, donations to the USO would make a lovely tribute.
