Robert N.
Arseneault
Sep 14, 1926 — Apr 22, 2018
Lake Worth
Robert "Bob" N. Arseneault, of Lake Worth, FL, went to be reunited with his wife of 69 years, Lee, in the presence of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Bob was born September 14, 1926 to Edward and Cora Arseneault of Flint, MI.
Bob and Lee were married on October 24, 1945. Bob was a decorated WWII Army veteran, serving as a flight mechanic in the airborne division. He was known as the one the brass went to for getting things done, as attested by letters commending him (and the stories he told many, many times). Upon returning to Flint, he became a firefighter, receiving several commendations for personally leading those in a fire to safety.
In 1965, Bob moved the family, now consisting of his four daughters Linda (Ken Bentz), Karen (Mike Holbrook), Nancy (David Moore) and Marcia, to Lake Worth, Fl, where he remained for the rest of his life. Over the years, his family grew to include 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. He developed a business, Bob's Windows and Doors, but became simply known as "the window guy" throughout Palm Beach County.
His favorite job, though, as he saw it, was feeding as many people as possible. An excellent cook, his language of love was food. In that spirit, the family is requesting you assist in helping Bob feed a large crew one more time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Meals on Wheels, 1300 S. Olive Ave, West Palm Beach, FL, 33401. The website is: https:www.mealsonwheelspalmbeaches.org/civicrm/contribution/transact?reset=1&id=1
In heaven, Bob is joining his wife, Lee, who most assuredly has a list of restaurants for him to take her to, his brother, Eddie, who is waiting for his little brother to lead him on adventures, his sister, Ginny, whom he probably is already teasing unmercifully, his mother, Cora, waiting to give him what-for and his father, Edward, who will have a few bartering deals ready for his help. His sister, Norma McIntyre and brother, Arlen Arseneault, survive him.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Palm Beach County, who made sure Bob's final journey began in peace, comfort and surrounded by friends and his loving family.
A celebration of Bob's life will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a service at 10:00 am, on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33449. (561) 967-1200.
