Richard C. Sommers, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2015 at the age of 78 at JKF Medical Center.

Richard loved living in Florida for the past twenty-five years. Prior to retirement in 2003, he worked as a sales manager for General GMC Volvo Truck Sales.

He enjoyed working outside and keeping things clean and neat. He was known by his neighbor's as the nicest guy alive. He would help with their yard work, whenever he did his own.

He and his wife Barbara did everything together. They were best friends and had a very close intimate relationship.

He has left a large void in the lives of those who knew him best, he will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife of fifteen years Barbara S. Sommers; one daughter Stacey A. Burns and one son, Stephen A. Sommers; one grandson Sean T. Burns; two brothers, Robert Sommers and James Sommers.

Memorial service will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, FL 33449. Service will begin at noon.

The family will host a Celebration of Richard's life, at the Sommers' residence following the service.
