IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Donat
Pelletier, Jr.
August 4, 1942 – July 11, 2025
In Loving Memory of Richard Pelletier, Jr.
Richard Pelletier, Jr., age 82, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Born in Brunswick, Maine, Richard was the beloved son of the late Richard and Rita Pelletier. He led a distinguished career in the aviation industry with GE Aerospace and proudly served in the United States Army—an enduring reflection of his discipline, integrity, and love for country.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Carol Rothman Pelletier. Together, they built a close-knit, joyful family grounded in love and laughter. He will be deeply missed by his children: Dennis (Anita) Pelletier, Amy Pelletier, and Scott (Elissa Lee) Pelletier; his siblings: David Pelletier and Jill Pelletier; and his cherished grandchildren: Andrew, Aleya, Ethan, Jayden, Aaron, and Caroline. We also hold in remembrance his beloved siblings, Dennis Pelletier and Julie Pelletier Sanders.
Richard's legacy is one of kindness, loyalty, humor, and unwavering love for his family. He found joy in spending time with friends and family, traveling the world, living abroad, and in volunteering with PBSO, —over 20,000 hours.
A committal service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 9:30 AM at South Florida National Cemetery (6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 33449). A Celebration of Life will follow on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 9:45 AM at Palm Beach National Funeral Home and Chapel (10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, FL 33449). The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 to 9:45 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Richard's memory by spending time with loved ones and sharing a moment of kindness. Donations may also be made to the organization where Richard served countless hours, "Friends of the Volunteers", by check (13051 87th St. N., West Palm Beach, FL 33412) or via Zelle (jewelern@pbso.org). Please be sure to note the donation is in memory of Richard Pelletier.
