Ralph M.
Depalma
October 17, 1930 – September 2, 2025
Ralph M. DePalma, 94, the beloved husband of Marie DePalma for 71 years, entered into eternal rest on September 2, 2025 at his home in Boynton Beach, FL surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born on October 17, 1930, in Bridgeport, CT., son of the late Pasquale (Patsy) DePalmer and Mary DePalmer. Ralph was the second oldest of nine siblings. He joined the military at 17 years old in 1947 and served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War. After his service, he embarked on a long and successful career with Sun Oil Company working his way up the corporate ladder for thirty-three years moving his family to Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio before reaching corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, PA where he enjoyed several more years before retiring to South Florida. He enjoyed many years in Boynton Beach continuing to nurture old friendships, while making new friends, playing golf, playing cards, traveling, and the many visits from his children and grandchildren.
Ralph's life was a testament to the power of family, and the importance of honesty, integrity, and perseverance. He was a kind and generous man, a great dance partner with a twinkle in his eye and an infectious smile contagious to everyone he met. He was a man of faith and found comfort in that especially in his final years.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marie Elizabeth (Lesinsky) DePalma, and his four daughters, Karen Wutke of Boynton Beach, FL, Joyce Blank of Hypoluxo, FL, Lynne Cerniglia and her husband, Anthony Cerniglia of Johns Creek, GA, and Laura De Palma and her husband, Mike Bindra of Ibiza, Spain; grandchildren, Eric Wutke of Novi, MI, Mathew Wutke of Shelton, CT, Sarah Blank and her husband Anthony Barbera III of Woodstock, GA, Tyler Blank of Boca Raton, FL, Kristen Cerniglia of Exeter, CA, Shelby Cerniglia of Atlanta, GA, Savannah Cerniglia of Atlanta, GA, and four great-grand children, Adriana Wutke, Bella Wutke, Olivia Barbera, and Everly Barbera. He also leaves behind his brother James DePalmer and his wife Rose of Stratford, CT, his sister Dolores Siok of Bridgeport, CT, his sister-in-law Margaret DePalmer of Oxford, CT, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, FL followed by a brief military memorial service at the South Florida National Cemetery in Wellington, FL.
The family would like to thank the staff at Vista Community Connection Hospice for the compassionate care they provided Ralph in his final days.
