IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Primitivo Rios
Jr
December 10, 1945 – December 6, 2023
Primitivo "Jay" Rios, Jr.
Jay passed in peace on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, surrounded by love and family. He was born in Lares, Puerto Rico and moved to Indiantown, Florida as a young boy. His years in Pahokee High School he played baseball, football, track & field which earned him a few college scholarships. Later in life, he found a new love for golf, the stock market and many entrepreneur adventures throughout his life.
Jay is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Norma Iris Rios, his two daughters, Marilyn Y Flanagan, and her spouse Brendan J. Flanagan, and Susan Peters and her spouse Keith Peters. He is survived by his treasured grandchildren Taylor, Bella, Maddox, and Jagger who filled his heart with so much joy. He is also survived by his two sisters, Carmen Gonzalez and Enilda Herrera and by numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Jay's smile and laugh could light up a room and his loyalty as a partner, friend, and coworker was well known. He devoted his life to his country. In 1967, he proudly began service as a US Army soldier. Upon discharge he returned to Florida, and proudly served as a police officer in Palm Beach County. In 1979, Jay successfully completed Quantico training and became an FBI special agent where he served for 20 years before retiring.
Jay never let an opportunity of living pass him by. He jumped at new opportunities and experiences without hesitation. After retirement, he began a new chapter of his life where he joined his daughter and son in law in the real estate industry and was successful for many years.
During the last few years, Jay and Norma have spent their time enjoying a home and sharing their love together. Everything Jay ever did in life was for his family. He was a beloved husband, an adored father, and a treasured grandfather.
