Pierce Michael Keane Sr. , 82, of Boynton Beach FL. , previously of Valley Stream, N.Y. died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Boulevard Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach, FL. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Leonard) Keane of 57 years. Born in New York City, February 14, 1932, the son of Michael and Margaret (Carpenter) Keane. He was predeceased by his two sisters Margaret and Anne Keane.

Pierce graduated from St. Johns University, NY and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an avid handball player growing up in the playgrounds of New York City. He enjoyed participating and watching his four children and eleven grandchildren at athletic events with the Bear during his lifetime.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, Pierce in addition to his wife Barbara will be dearly missed by his son Pierce Michael Keane Jr. and his wife Kathy, their children Michael, Pierce, Joe and CaliAnn of Bellmore N.Y., he was adored by his daughter Mary Ellen Kleinschmidt and husband Howie, their children Ryan, Jordan and Ross of Valley Stream, N.Y., son Brian Keane of New York City, and son John P. Keane and wife Renee, their children Tyler, Cody, Sydney and Riley of Glastonbury CT. Pierce was a man of honor and integrity that will be missed and remembered by all who knew him.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church 643 St. Marks Place, Boynton Beach, FL.
