IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis B.
Register
January 2, 1924 – December 18, 2024
On December 18, 2024, at the age of 100 years, Phyllis passed away peacefully in the care of Hospice. She was surrounded by her family.
Born in Cleburne, Texas to the parents of Elizabeth and Philip Tschirhart, she began her life's journey. Phyllis did it all, she was able to see and experience 100 years of world changes and technology. She went from Party line phones to iPhones. She loved to travel, go to the casinos, and garden. Her newest adventure at the age of 100 was RV camping, and dancing at the pavilion with her family.
In her early 20's she married James Knapp who she met when he was stationed in San Antonio Texas. They had 3 children, then divorced after 18 years of marriage. She then met Ed Bogden who she said was the love of her life. However, Ed passed away unexpectedly. After many years of being on her own, and a long-distance relationship, she then married Earl Register, and they were able to travel and enjoy life until he passed away.
She retired from Jeep Corporation in the 80's, where she worked in an administrative position in vendor control/material management.
Her family was extremely important to her. She was an exceptional and loving mother to her daughter Ginny Degregorio (Don) and Son George Knapp (Anita), who will miss her immensely as well as her grandchildren Michael Degregorio (Dori), Mark Knapp, and Chrissi Jabour (Eric) and Great grandchildren: Bryce Degregorio, Isabella Jabour, and Evan Jabour, Brother: Robert Katz and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant son: James Knapp, and her siblings: Dolly Sullivan, Margaret Storbeck, Buddy Katz, Harry Katz and Jerry Katz.
Concluding her journey she remained a loving, caring and generous person always thinking of others. She will truly be missed. She is an example of living life to the fullest!
