IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis
Clark
January 20, 1940 – June 2, 2021
It is with her naturally warm smile, kindness and tremendous love of family and friends that
Phyllis Clark peacefully departed on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, to her new home in heaven.
She was born the daughter of Louise and Israel Bachrach in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 20, 1940
where she resided for many years prior to starting a new life in Florida in 1979. While she
preferred the warmth of Florida, she would joyfully recall fond moments from her upbringing in
D.C. She was the beloved wife of her late husband, John "Barry" Clark, mother of Mitchell
(Cindy) and the late Ricky Mensh, step-mother to Brandon Clark, grandmother to Shaina and
Justin Mensh, and a "sister" to Marcia Klompus.
Her career ranged from working for an ABA basketball team, sales and buyer for her parents',
Bachrach's Millinery store, to real estate agent; however, she would tell you her true passion
became centered around charitable causes. Using God-given talents for organization and
networking, she coordinated the successful Bartender's Ball charity, proudly served as a
volunteer with the Martin County Sheriff's Office, event planning for the local 82 nd Airborne
chapter and assisted with women's counseling and fundraising for SafeSpace.
Phyllis relished neighborhood walks, reading romance to mystery novels, puzzles, travelling and
her weekly Mahjong gathering. She was well known for her fashionable style and ability to light
up a dance floor with her moves. She unequivocally loved her late husband and family and
cherished every moment with them. Love You More!
