Obituary

It is with a profound sense of loss and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Patricia Mahoney Palomo, a woman whose vibrant spirit and gracious nature touched the lives of so many. Born on August 20, 1963, Patricia's journey concluded peacefully on April 1, 2026, at Trustbridge Hospice in West Palm Beach, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was a dynamic and multifaceted individual whose career was marked by dedication and compassion. She navigated the complex world of biopharmaceutical sales with tenacity and skill. Yet, it was in her role as a Family Service Counselor at Palm Beach National Funeral Home and Chapel where Patricia truly provided comfort and peace of mind to countless families during their most vulnerable moments. Her professional life also included impactful tenure in sales and marketing for various companies, managing her husband’s home renovation business, and pursuing real estate with enthusiasm and expertise.

Raised in San Diego, California, she later made Florida her home, where she spent most of her adult life.  An accomplished graduate with honors from the Orlando Culinary Academy’s prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Program, Patricia's culinary talents were a source of joy to all who knew her. Her love for cooking was not merely a pastime but a passionate art form, one she generously shared by hosting family and friends with sumptuous dishes crafted from treasured recipes. Her gift for languages further enhanced her ability to connect warmly and graciously with people from diverse backgrounds.

Patricia's personality was nothing short of captivating—bigger than life, sparklingly funny, and imbued with a vibrancy that could illuminate any room she entered. Talkative and adventurous, she approached life with fierce determination and a loving, kind heart. A family-oriented woman blessed with a great sense of humor and an understanding soul, she was invariably gracious and approachable, making everyone around her feel cherished and valued.  Let us not forget the deep love that she shared for her family and beloved Bella.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Liborio V. Palomo; her father, David Mahoney; and her mother, Constance Lamy Mahoney. Her siblings—Kathleen Mahoney Connally “Buck,” Kim Mahoney Eide “Carter,” Pamela Lynn Mahoney, and Michael Patrick Mahoney “Patti”—along with her beloved daughter, Mercedes Carrillo “Wilson,” grandson Luis Medina, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members mourn her passing while celebrating her extraordinary life.

The visitation and funeral service will both be held on April 9, 2026, at Palm Beach National Funeral Home & Chapel located at 10055 Heritage Farms Rd, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33449. The visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

To have known Patricia was to have been graced by her warmth, generosity, and formidable spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and kindness that will endure in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to call her family and friend. Her life was a testament to the beauty of living fully, loving deeply, and embracing every moment with passion and grace. Patricia Mahoney Palomo will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
