Mildred D. Branca of Delray Beach, FL entered into eternal rest on Saturday October 15th at 3:30am. Preceded by late husband, John R. Branca July 17, 2010. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Angela Guerra, son William Branca and stepson John G. Branca. Grandchildren: Katherine Branca, Annunziata Branca, Jessica Branca, Dylan Branca, and JC Branca.

Mildred was born June 13, 1925 in Yonkers, NY Father was Cero DeFilippo and Mother was Angelina Vigilucci. Mildred was the only girl with six brothers. Mildred grew up in Yonkers NY and during WWII Mildred was a Parachute Rigger. Early in life Mildred moved to West Palm Beach Florida and had a brief marriage to Gigs Guerra where they had daughter Angela in 1951. Mildred later met John R. Branca and were married March 12, 1960. John Branca had a son John G. Branca and Mildred daughter, Angela Guerra all lived in Mt. Vernon, NY in 1961 they had a son, William Branca. Mildred enjoyed entertaining and cooking around the Holidays.

Mildred was a terrific cook and her dishes are still remembered today by her family. Her most favorite dishes were; her Pasta Sauce, Handmade Meatballs,  Escarole and Beans, Pasta e Fagioli, Sopa De Pescado, Baked Stuffed Artichokes, Sausage Bread, Clams Oreganata and Cold Scungilli Salad.  When Mildred was not cooking she could be found at the Glen Island Casino dancing the night away with her Husband Johnny Branca. Mildred and John retired to Deerfield Beach in 1989 where Mildred enjoyed 33 years of retirement Mildred will be interned at Boca Raton Mausoleum East where she will join her Husband for an eternal rest.
