MCPO, Lewis D. Hill "Pop-Pop", USCG (Ret.) 93, departed this life peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2015. Lewis was born in Champaign, IL on December 10, 1921 to the late Horace and Martha Richart-Hill. He leaves memories to be cherished by his beloved wife of 70 years, Opal; daughters, Alice Savage (Austin) and Donna Peccia (Joe, Sr.); sisters, Alice Fletcher and Katie Clark; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; with great devotion to his special needs granddaughter. Lewis retired to Palm Beach County in 1981 coming from Virginia Beach. He will be remembered as an enthusiastic public servant and a much honored member of the Coast Guard. Family will greet friends from 12PM to 1PM on Thursday, January 29th at Palm Beach National Chapel in Lake Worth, FL following with a funeral service at 1PM.
