IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maureen Bridget
Holpit
November 4, 1963 – February 16, 2026
Maureen Bridget Holpit (née Boyle)
November 4th, 1963 – February 16th, 2026
Maureen Bridget Holpit, 62, of West Palm Beach, Florida, entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2026, while in hospice care in Boynton Beach, Florida. Born on November 4, 1963, in Jamaica, Queens, New York, Maureen was the beloved daughter of Dennis and Hazel Boyle.
Maureen grew up in a Catholic home and carried a deep love for God throughout her life. In her later years, her faith in Jesus Christ became her anchor and strength. She spoke often of her prayers and conversations with the Lord, holding firmly to the promise that Christ died for our sins and secured eternal life for those who believe. On February 16, surrounded by love and worship music, Maureen went home to be with Jesus, and is now free from pain and suffering.
After high school, Maureen worked in Manhattan as a secretary before building a career on Long Island as a bookkeeper for Fonar and later as an office manager for Durable Medical Equipment companies. She also worked in medical billing in Florida and earned certification in facials and waxing. Yet her most significant and most cherished role was being a mother. As a devoted stay-at-home mom, she wore many hats: chef, chauffeur, nurse, teacher, financial manager, and constant source of love and stability.
Maureen is survived by her loving children: Amanda Bishop and her husband, Anthony, Andrew Holpit, and Paul Holpit. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to her grandchildren, Anthony and Abigail. She is also survived by her brothers, Dennis Boyle and Robert Boyle, and her sisters-in-law, Terry and Ciara. Her nieces and nephews include Erin, Dennis III and his wife Val, Sarah, and Declan. She was recently blessed to become a great-aunt to baby Roman. Maureen also leaves behind many extended family members and treasured friends who will miss her deeply.
Maureen had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Karaoke nights brought her joy, as did shopping, cooking for others, and spending precious time with her children and grandchildren. Despite enduring significant health challenges in recent years, she remained kind, compassionate, and attentive to others. Friends consistently describe her as loyal and selfless. Maureen was someone who showed up for the people she loved, even in the midst of her own pain.
In her final moments, her daughter Amanda and her brother Dennis stood on either side of her, holding her hands as "Here I Am, Lord" played softly, a peaceful and sacred farewell to a woman whose faith carried her home.
Maureen will be remembered as a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, extended family member, and friend. Her legacy of love, perseverance, and faith will live on in all who knew her.
Rest in peace, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Sister-in-Law, Aunt, Great-Aunt, cherished extended family member, and dear friend, Maureen. All the wonderful memories and your love will live on within us always. We hand you over to the grace of our Lord Jesus, and we turn to God for His love, comfort, and embrace. "To God be the glory." Though we say goodbye for now, we rejoice in the promise that we will see you again.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 – I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness.
