Margaret (Peggy) Colangelo
May 3, 1935 – September 21, 2022
Wellington, FL – Margaret (Peggy) Colangelo, age 87, passed away peacefully on
September 21, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born May 3, 1935 in New
York, NY, the daughter of William F. Peterson and Margaret (Sheehan) Mahler.
Peggy grew up in College Point, NY and attended Flushing High School. She
enjoyed her career at Chase Manhattan Bank as Head
Bookkeeper/Troubleshooter. She met and married her amazing husband Lou
Colangelo on November 3, 1956 in College Point, NY. Peggy enjoyed traveling with
her family and husband Lou.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Louis Colangelo of 65 years, and survived
by their daughter Laura Morris and her husband Andy Morris of Wellington, FL,
and son Robert Colangelo and wife Michelle Colangelo of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Peggy leaves behind two Grandchildren Bobby Webb and his wife Danielle, and
Andrew Morris and significant other Jaimie Bertram.
Peggy also leaves behind four great grandchildren Mason, Madelyn, Hope and
Colten.
Peggy was an amazing wife, mother, grandma and great grandma and will be
greatly missed by her family and friends.
Peggy will be laid to rest at the South Florida National Cemetery alongside her
husband Lou.
The Colangelo/Morris families wish to extend our sincere thanks to the Palm
Beach National Chapel for all they have done for us and to the South Florida
National Cemetery for providing wonderful resting places for our Military
individuals and their spouses.
