Luis R. Molinari, beloved son, husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2013. Luis or "Lou" as his friends called him, grew up with his mother Ana on the north-side of Chicago and graduated from Senn High School. His mother fondly remembers him of being a "good boy and never giving her a hard time." He met life-long friends there which he kept in contact with even in his last days. In 1973, he met his wife Susana "Susy" of 38 years and they always called each other by their nicknames; he called her "Amor" (love) and she called him "Nene" (baby). He was a proud father to his son, Giovanni and daughter, Veronica.


Lou was a Vietnam Veteran and acted as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Lou was an incredibly intelligent and creative man. He had a natural curiosity of all things related to science, computers, airplanes and nature; and he loved sharing his knowledge with his children and grandchildren. He loved watching sports especially the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls. He enjoyed taking his son and grandson to the ballpark to watch ballgames.


Lou was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2008 and fought hard through many treatmentsnever letting any of it get him down. He was always upbeat and friendly at all of his appointments, even on his sickest days. His love of his grandson, Hunter, gave him strength to endure such a long battle as he always felt he needed to be there for him, as well as his granddaughters.


He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. He is survived by his loving mother, Ana Encarnacion; his ever-devoted wife, Sue Molinari; his eldest son, Louis Giovanni Molinari or "Champ" as he called; his daughter, Veronica Molinari-Tenzer or "Cinnamon" as he called; and his pride and joy grandson, Hunter Tenzer, and three granddaughters, Madison, Ava and Emma Molinari.


We will forever love and miss you Dad. Mom thanks you for being her loyal loving companion for forty years. And the grandchildren will always love and miss their "Paca". But we know you are flying high in heaven, and we'll see you again.

A Vigil Service will be held at 5PM, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, FL. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 4:30 until service time on Saturday. Interment will be Monday, August 26, 2013 at 10:45 AM at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL with Full Military Honors by the US Air Force.
