Lona Hope Turk, 74, of Lake Worth, Fl.  passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 16, 2023.

Lona is survived by the love of her life, Irwin Turk.  Daughter, Alison Harrington (John), Son, Evan Turk. Grandchildren Alexander, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Theodore, Meila and Ellis.  Her sister, Pamela Henning (John Mentnech).  She is pre-deceased by her parents Nat Yablonsky and Lillian Yablonsky (Wapnowitz).

Lona was born on November 27, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to Nat and Lilliam Yablonsky.  She attended high school at Long Island City High School in Queens, NY.  After graduating high school she met the love of her life and husband to be, Irwin Turk on a blind date.  They married 4 years later and went on to have 2 children and 6 grandchildren.  After Alison was born, they decided to move out of the Bronx to NJ and went on to have a second child, Evan.  Lona worked as an Administrative Assistant in Rockaway until she retired in 2010.

Lona was a kind hearted, caring person who would go out of her way for her family.  She loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and shopping.  When her and Irwin moved to Florida in 2012 she made sure that there were plenty of visits to NJ and vacations with her children and grandchildren.
