Leonard Dale Wakefield, age 95, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away on April 22, 2025, at Jupiter Hospital Hospice.

Born on April 22, 1930, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Dale was a light in the lives of everyone who knew him.

Dale was the beloved husband of Barbara Wakefield and a devoted father to Carol (Bob) and Mary (Mark); stepfather to Pam (Joe), Don (Dawn), Kim (Joe), Karen (Mike), and Kelly (Dave); grandfather to Matthew, Megan, and Markie; step grandfather to Stacy, Amelia, Henry, Lyle, Tommy, Patrick, Michael, and Jacqueline; and great grandfather to Liam and Warren.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, where his strong aptitude for numbers led him to work in his ship's store throughout his four-year deployment. Following his military service, Dale worked as a manager for Westinghouse in Buffalo, New York, retiring in 1985 after 38 years of service.

After retirement, he relocated to Jupiter, Florida, where he enjoyed working for many years at Indian Creek Golf Course.

A service to honor Dale's life will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery on May 19, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
