IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leonard Malcolm
Schiff
July 29, 1927 – January 14, 2026
Leonard Malcom Schiff
July 29, 1927 – January 14, 2026
Leonard "Len" Malcom Schiff, a man defined by his devotion to family, his competitive spirit, and his love for all things Ohio State, passed away peacefully in Wellington, Florida, on January 14, 2026, at the age of 98 ½.
Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, Len was a pioneer of the Bexley tennis legacy. In 1945, he became the school's first-ever state champion, a feat that sparked a family tradition of excellence on the tennis court. He went on to serve in the United States Navy and later captained the tennis team at The Ohio State University. After earning an MBA from Harvard, Len returned to Columbus, where he enjoyed a long career as a stockbroker.
He and his wife, Joyce, shared a beautiful 68-year marriage that served as an inspiration to all who knew them.
Len will be remembered for his sharp wit as a Life Master bridge player, his booming voice in the stands, and his nightly requirement of chocolate pudding or chocolate ice cream—a sweet ending to every day.
Len is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce (Rosenfeld) Schiff; his children, Randy Schiff, Patti (Michael) Brawer, and Amy (Scott) Ackerstein; his 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 20th, at 3:00 PM at the Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.
