South Palm Beach, Fl - Kenneth Joseph Peluso "Butch", passed of COVID-19 related cardiac arrest on Sunday November 29, 2020 at John F. Kennedy Hospital. Born November 8, 1942 in Mt. Vernon, NY, he was the son of the deceased Joseph and Rose (Miolla) Peluso.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Justine Peluso, daughter Michele Sergio and her husband Bill of Lake Grove, NY, daughter Georganne Mangiamele and her husband Roy of West Islip, NY, daughter Dorice Ross of Coconut Creek, FL, son Anthony Nicolosi and his wife Ana of Lake Worth, FL and his 10 heartbroken grandchildren William, Marisa and Rocco Sergio, Nicholas, Claudia and Matthew Mangiamele, Gianna and Angelo Ross, and Anthony and Joseph Nicolosi. He's also survived by his sister Barbara Peluso Renna and sister-in-law Sally Castania.
"Butch" grew up in Mt. Vernon, NY and attended Edison High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Randolph Aircraft Carrier as a Seaman 1st Class. Upon discharge from the Navy, he continued his education and began a career as a firefighter with the Fairview Fire Department, achieving the rank of Captain before his retirement in 1993. A generous family man, he raised his four children in the suburb of Eastchester, NY where he loved to tinker with his tools, take on home renovations and was constantly surrounded by family and friends who were drawn to his charm, sense of humor and infectious personality. He had an amazing willingness to be helpful, could fix anything and always did what was asked of him.
After retirement, he spent the next 20+ years enjoying life with his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends in both New York and Florida.
A mass for our beloved Kenneth is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, 11:00am at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 W. Lantana Rd, Lantana, FL. The funeral service will be Monday, Dec. 14 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Fl.
