Katharine Roberta Talbot Christison, 95, of Abbey Delray North, Delray Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023. She is survived by her children Lynda Christison (Stoney Carlson), Judith Wooten (David), and Eric Christison, (Stacy Soeten); grandchildren Jacob Carlson (Kylie Kennimer and Killian), Daniel Wooten, and Peregrine Christison; sister Louise Talbot Pike; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons Robert Bruce and Thomas Paul; siblings Charles R. Talbot, Patricia Talbot Wallace Haines, and Elizabeth Talbot; and parents Eleanor Hunt Talbot and Cumner Talbot.

Born December 24, 1927 in Lowell, Massachusetts, Kathy attended high school at Rogers Hall School for Girls, received her B. A. from Simmons College, and her Master's Degree in counseling from the University of Maryland. She was married for 25 years to William A. Christison. While raising their children they lived in Silver Springs and Bethesda, Maryland, Germany and Taiwan and traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, Africa, and throughout the United States. Kathy was a substitute teacher for Montgomery County, Maryland, a licensed contractor, and employed as a housing counselor also for Montgomery County.

More than anything, Kathy loved her family, friends and being a Mom and Grandmother. She believed spending time creating memories was more important than accumulating things or pristine housekeeping. Favorite adventures included camping trips, exploring other cultures, cruises, museums, nature preserves, and historic sites. She loved gardening, crafting, decorating and re-decorating, playing bridge, eating lobster, and
volunteering.

A memorial service will be held Monday, January 23 at 11:00 AM in the Abbey Delray North Health Center Activity Room, 2000 Lowson Blvd., Delray Beach.
