Joseph Massaro, 90, of Greenburgh, NY, passed away on the morning of November 19, 2021, in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Joseph was born on July 30, 1931, the seventh of eight children of Domenico Massaro and Maria Peruta Massaro, from Naples, Italy.
Known by many as Joe or JoJo, his life story started as a child of immigrant parents growing up in White Plains, NY. He entered the U.S. Army on July 12, 1951 and was assigned to Company F, 60 th Infantry Regiment at Fort Dix and went on to serve in the Korean War.
Joe married his beloved Antoinette (Toni) Valente, raised two children, Marina and Joseph Jr., and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Joseph was a long-time member of the Teamsters Union, Local 456. He was an avid pool shark, and a card shark, loved the horse races, and playing golf. After retiring, Joe volunteered at local golf clubs and food banks in Florida. He always had a smile on his face and made friends wherever he went. He had a contagious laugh and was loved by all.
Joseph was a dedicated husband and father and is survived by his loving wife Toni, and his daughter Marina.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 2 nd at 11am followed by a reception at
Palm Beach National Chapel Funeral Home
