Mr. Joseph Lee Coxwell, Jr., 87, Royal Palm Beach passed away Thursday June 7, 2012 at Palms West Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Coxwell was born March 1, 1925 in Iona, Florida to the late Joseph Lee & Alma Lee (Sweet) Coxwell. Mr. Coxwell was a proud Navy veteran serving on the USS Hornet during World War II. He was a retired building contractor and a member of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church. Mr. Coxwell is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Mary Coxwell of Royal Palm Beach; sons, Jon (Linda) Lovell of Dallas, Texas; Joseph Lee Coxwell III of Mississippi; daughters, Norma (Marco) Palomar of West Palm Beach, Florida; Rosemary (Edwin) Valcarcel of Sunrise, Florida; Mari Bett Flores of Miami, Florida; 13 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Coxwell will be celebrated 12:30 pm Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church with Father Andy Rudincki as celebrant. The family will recieve friends on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth at 2:15 PM.
