John J. McGlynn, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
The devoted husband of Debbie, a beloved father to Chris and Kevin and their spouses, Ken and Amy, and an adoring "Pa" to his grandchildren, Benny, Jack, and Lila.

John was born June 16, 1959, in London, UK, to Doris May Spencer and Joseph McGlynn, who was serving in the Navy overseas.
He was raised with his brother Mike and sister Gail on U.S. military bases in Florida, Puerto Rico, and Rhode Island.

He was a Marine Corporal, serving in Hawaii and Japan. After an honorable discharge, he later graduated from Jacksonville University in Florida.

He was a career public servant with the Internal Revenue Service, retiring as an Information Technology Specialist.

His favorite things included his cats, fishing in the Everglades, attending his grandchildren's extracurricular activities, the New England Patriots, Cheez-Its, Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits, decorating the lawn for every holiday, and computer games.

A visitation and memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th, from 4 PM-7 PM at Palm Beach National Funeral Home and Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Rd., Lake Worth, Florida 3449.

A gravesite committal will be on Thursday, December 18, at 10 AM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida, 33449.

Donations may be made in John's name to his favorite organizations: Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Humane Society of Broward County, Florida.
