7/24/24 - 1/29/14. John was born and raised in Greenwich, CT. During the 1940's, he played minor league baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1943, he enlisted in the United States Marines and served in WWII as a Sergeant. He was Honorably Discharged in 1946.
On 5/21/55, he married Mary Reynolds. John and Mary were married for 58 years. They resided in Florida for 32 years. John was the Florida
Road Service Manager for A.A.A. before retiring to Hendersonville, NC. in 1990. John and Mary loved their time in the mountains of North Carolina.They returned to Florida in 2003.
John is survived by his devoted wife Mary, daughter Judy Ramirez (Albert),
son Rob (Cheri), 5 grandchildren - Erika, Kristen, Christina, Jessica, Kevin and 1 great granddaughter Aurora.
He will be deeply missed by his entire family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, February 7, 2014 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Boynton Beach. Burial will be at the South Florida Veterans Cemetery.
