Obituary
We are sad to announce that our father, Joel Wishengrad, passed away on December 12, 2022. He was 91 years old.
Joel was born on May 24, 1931 in Albany, New York and was the eldest son of Samuel and Dorothy Wishengrad. He attended college where he majored in business. Shortly after he moved to New York City he met his wife, Eleanor Andewelt of Forest Hills New York. They were married on July 5, 1959 and remained together for 49 years until Eleanor passed away.
Joel was a successful businessman and loved to travel internationally. He was also very passionate about his hobbies. He was an avid boater for many years and spent a few years traveling around the country on a motor coach with his wife, Ellie. Joel was also a huge animal lover and donated to many wildlife organizations.
A memorial service in Joel's memory will be held December 22nd at 12:00 PM at Palm Beach National Chapel. There will be a short reception to follow directly after.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the Guardian HEALS Foundation.
Guardian HEALS provides financial assistance to pet owners who cannot afford the cost of veterinary care.
