Joel Kahn passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026. He was born in New York on April 5, 1931, and was the son of Louis and Ray Kahn. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He became a court reporter in 1955, and held a distinguished career with the New York State court system for 35 years. He was an avid paddleball player, and after retiring, was able to spend most days on the paddleball court, which he continued to do until the age of 91. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family. He was known by everyone for his great sense of humor, and could always be counted on for a good laugh. Joel is survived by his wife Myra, his two sons, daughter-in-law and his grandchildren.
