Obituary

Joni K. Tate, 91, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026.

Born in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Joni lived a life marked by faith, creativity, entrepreneurship, and a deep love for family and friends. She began her career with Bell Telephone before pursuing her entrepreneurial spirit, owning and operating the Humpty Dumpty Sub and Pizza Shop in Lake Worth, Florida, for 17 years.

Joni later built a successful career in real estate, founding Joni K. Tate Real Estate. Through her work as a broker, investor, and businesswoman, she built lasting relationships throughout the Lake Worth area and earned the respect and trust of clients, colleagues, and friends alike.

Throughout her life, Joni embraced many roles—wife, mother, grandmother, sister, entrepreneur, artist, and woman of faith—with grace and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. She had an extraordinary eye for beauty, design, fashion, and style. Inspired by God’s creation, she expressed her creativity through painting, decorating, and countless artistic projects. Her nature-inspired artwork reflected her appreciation for the beauty of the world around her and remains a lasting reflection of her talent, vision, and spirit. She also had a special love for animals and delighted in the companionship of birds, dogs, and cats throughout her life.

Known for her grace, poise, warm smile, and joyful spirit, Joni had a remarkable ability to bring lightness to even the most difficult situations. Grounded in her deep faith in Jesus, she encouraged others through kindness, laughter, generosity, and unwavering belief. Her faith guided her life, shaped her character, and touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Joni is survived by her son, Rock Tate (Lyn) of Lantana, Florida; her daughter, Patti Jo Tate-Stoutt of Loxahatchee, Florida; her grandchildren, Linda Andrews (Brendon) and Rock Tate (Johanna Ovsenek); her sister, Vonnie Rosato (Rick); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her cherished brothers, Peter and Larry Sinibaldi.

A memorial service celebrating Joni’s life will be held at Palm Beach National Funeral Home and Chapel on Saturday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joni’s memory to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lake Worth Beach, Florida.
