After living to the remarkable age of 92, Joan Leatrice Clements of Deerfield Beach Florida, passed on Thursday, March 30th, 2023.

Born on April 6th, 1931, in Liverpool England to Samuel and Florence Freedman, Joan met the love of her life Geoffrey at a dance and began what would be an astounding 70 years together.

Deciding to build a life in America, the two emigrated to the United States and Staten Island in 1950, raising three daughters, Wendy, Alison, and Heidi. While raising her family, Joan juggled motherhood with a career, working for EF Hutton in NYC, riding the ferry each day and meeting people who would open her world view.

Together, Joan and Geoffrey took their children to plays and musicals, magical dinners in the city, summers in Cape Cod and the Hamptons and winter trips to the Catskills. Eventually she and Geoffrey relocated to South Florida in 2000.

Joan will be remembered for her beauty and her extraordinary sense of style as well as her sharp wit and her love for her family.

She is survived by her husband Geoffrey, her daughters Wendy Tannenbaum, Alison Burckhardt, and Heidi Clements, as well as her beloved son in laws Steven Tannenbaum and Dean Burckhardt, her four grandchildren, Amy, Michael, Isabella and Jordan as well as her great grandchildren Daphne, Stella, Celeste and Harrison who lovingly called her "Gigi."

A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

The family will be receiving visitors at 2100 South Ocean Boulevard, South Building, Palm Beach, between 4pm and 6pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
