Our dear and loving mom, Jeanne Louise Swain passed from this earth on Thursday April 17, 2014 at the Hospices of Palm Beach County in Boynton Beach, Florida.

Jeanne was born on March 25, 1939 and raised in Rockville Center, NY. She was the eldest of six children born to the late Hubert and Maude Lennon. She attended John Adams High School and graduated in 1956. After graduation, Jeanne immediately secured a position in the Plant Engineering Department of the New York Telephone Company where she would work for several years.

She met and married her ex-husband Ronald Callaway in 1962, a marriage that produced five daughters. As a former member of the Nation of Islam in the 70's, under the leadership of civil rights leader Malcolm X, Jeanne held a Secretarial/Lieutenant position for the MGT (Muslim Girls Training). She was responsible for teaching cooking classes, security training and personal grooming for young girls.

Jeanne had an amazing ability to multi-task, juggling the parenting of five daughters and working full-time at the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York for many years. Forever the classy lady, Jeanne loved to be made up and prided herself on always being camera ready. Her passion led her to joining the Ophelia DeVore modeling Charm School in New York, where she further fine-tuned her skills on etiquette and modeling. Jeanne met her current husband, Stanley G. Swain in 1980 and they relocated and married in Kissimmee, Florida on May 17, 1985. She began working at Borg Warner Chemicals (Plastics Division) from 1985 - 1988. From there, she moved on to Plastic Distributing Corporation from 1988 - 1992. with her winning personality and beautiful voice, she effortlessly excelled in Sales, receiving an award from the Society of Plastic Engineers in 1987 for outstanding achievements in Marketing and Sales.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother, (Charles Lennon) and sister (Audrey Lennon-Richardson). She is survived and will forever be remembered by her loving husband of 30 years, Stanley G. Swain of Florida; her three sisters, Marilyn Williams of New York, Nancy Wallace of Florida and Gail O'Clair of Florida; her five daughters, Lailah Harrigan of New York, Madinah Callaway of New York, Almirah Callaway of New York, Saleenah Callaway of New York and Nafeesah Noonan of New York; two stepsons; Eric and Robert Swain; her two grandsons; Shaheed Callaway and Cayden Noonan along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and countless other friends who were blessed to have known her.

Jeanne touched the lives of many people with her genuine smile, loving personality and generosity. She had an affinity for astrology and numerology and loved to do readings for her husband and daughters. She loved to sing as she was blessed with a beautiful voice), watch movies and bake delicious and often legendary desserts. She was thoroughly into political history and enjoyed reading conspiracy theories and watching politicians act like preachers. She was a highly spiritual and spirited woman with a consistent infectious, positive and bubbly personality. We are blessed to have experienced her beautiful and amazing spirit and her legacy will be carried on eternally.
