Janice Laskas Huston, 86, of Greenacres, Florida, passed away on June 3, 2023. She was born on December 6, 1936, in Waterbury, Connecticut.
She was a loving wife of 62 years to George Huston, and a devoted mother to her children Debbie Sanders and husband, Thomas of Tolland, CT, Kathy Huston of Concord, CA, Jeffrey Huston and partner, Ann Johnston of Bridgton, ME, and Samantha Bollinger and husband, Ken of Abbottstown, PA. Janice was also a cherished grandmother to Kendall, Sydney, Lauren, Noah, Ryan, Ashley, Autumn, and Melissa, and a great-grandmother to Nora. She is also survived by her brother Nicolaos Laskas, sister Patricia and husband, Speros Fleggas, sister-in-law Carol Coviello, and brothers-in-law Robert Huston and John Kandilakis, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janice was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Mary Trakas Laskas, and her sister Catherine Kandilakis.
Janice attended Crosby High School of Waterbury and went on to graduate from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing.. She dedicated over 40 years of her life as a nurse and retired from Bristol Hospital, as a nursing supervisor.
Janice enjoyed gardening, vacations with her family, and yearly cruises with George and friends.
Janice will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on through her loved ones. "In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill."
A visitation will be held at Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Rd. Lake Worth, FL on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 3:00-6:00 PM. A church service will be held at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach Florida at 12:30 PM on Thursday, June 15th. A burial will be held at 2:00 PM at the VA South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
