IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet
Nash
November 4, 1945 – November 16, 2023
Janet Krupa Nash, 78, of suburban Lake Worth, FL, died suddenly and unexpectedly on November 16, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Douglas Nash. She is also survived by her brother, John A. Krupa of Torrington, CT and her four nephews, John, Christopher, Jared and Jordan; as well as several cousins, their families and other relatives.
She was born November 4, 1945, in Torrington, Connecticut to John and Josephine (Randazzo) Krupa. She attended school there, graduating from high school, then moved on to earn a degree from the Creative School of Hairdressing in Hartford, CT. She immediately became a teacher there and within a year advanced to become the Dean of the school, a position which she held for 25 years. She thereafter worked for a salon for 5 more years. She and Douglas met in 1978 and became a couple from then on. They formalized their marriage-in-fact in 1992. In 2004, they started coming to Florida as snowbirds, then in 2012 moved fulltime to her beloved house in the western end of unincorporated Lake Worth.
Janet was well liked by all, and truly liked everyone. She worked hard to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. While in Connecticut and still working at her job, she made it a point to always host the holiday gatherings, which she continued to do here in Florida. She was a gardener in Connecticut and was one here as well, tending to the yard, the hundreds of bushes and trees she planted and raised, and the tomatoes, fruits and vegetables she grew from seed. At the same time, she devoted time, attention and much care to her several dogs, whom she loved. And somehow paid special attention to her husband. She is sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, we request any donations be made an animal rescue organization, such as the North Shore Animal League @www.animalleague.org.
