IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen L.
Ericson
January 2, 1934 – February 12, 2025
Helen L. Ericson, 91, of Delray Beach, FL entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. She is survived by her children Cynthia Ericson and Ronald E. Ericson. Also left to cherish her memory are her 2 grandchildren Kevin Palmer and Kelly Gruber, 3 great grandchildren Carson, Kailyn, and Juniper, sister and 2 brothers Walburga Koval, Fred Lenze, and Vincent Lenze, sister-in-law Jeanette Keagan, and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her loving husband Ronald L. Ericson, daughter Cheryl Palmer, and 9 brothers and sisters.
Helen was born on January 2, 1934 in St. Marys, PA to her parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert T. Lenze. She grew up in a close-knit family of 13 brothers and sisters, and lived in the same family home her father built until graduating Elk County Catholic School and moving to Hartford, CT to attend the Hartford Airline Personnel School and proceeded to work for National Airlines. During this time she met the love of her life, Ronald L. Ericson and they married in 1958. Together they welcomed 3 children into the world and lived in Connecticut for 30 years before retiring to Delray Beach, FL, where they spent their golden years traveling the world and enjoying the remaining years of their 65 year marriage.
Helen was a tiny, but strong woman with a gust for life and a heart of gold. Her inner strength and positive outlook on life helped her survive cancer and other challenges in her lifetime. She cherished family and good friends and frequent Duo calls and annual visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never passed on a family card game, Bingo with her friends, and the occasional trip to the local Casino, and usually the big winner at all three. Helen, with the company of Ronald, dedicated
time to the community of Delray Beach as CERT members, and received an honorable award for their services.
Private family services will be held at the Palm Beach National Funeral Home & Chapel.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity near and dear to Helen's heart.
