IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregg Edward
Ackerman
January 27, 1970 – August 11, 2025
Gregg Edward Ackerman, age 55, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Gregg was born on January 27, 1970, in Ft. Meade, Maryland, to Diana Rosa and Eugene Neil Ackerman. He grew up with an unwavering passion for art, architecture, design and technology, which ultimately shaped his life in extraordinary ways. After graduating from Penn State University in 1992 with degrees in Photography and Graphic Design, he embarked on a lifelong career as an entrepreneur of an IT service provider—FRS Pros—helping countless businesses with his seemingly endless brilliance and technological expertise.
In 1995, Gregg married Janey Ackerman, and together they welcomed two children, Michael and Julia. The couple later divorced but remained committed to co-parenting their children.
In 2015, Gregg married Joely Izzo, with whom he shared 10 years of love, travel, and partnership. Through this marriage, Gregg also became a devoted stepfather to Joely's children, Payton and Samantha, embracing them as his own and celebrating many milestones together as a blended family.
Gregg had a true gift for making people feel loved, embraced, and supported, whether uniting his entire family for a cruise or listening intently to his loved ones in times of need. His gentle warmth, wide smile, and witty humor touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Joely Izzo; his children, Michael Ackerman and Julia Ackerman; his stepchildren, Payton Izzo and Samantha Izzo; his beloved mother, Diana Ackerman; his sister, Stacie Ackerman; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Ackerman.
A celebration of Gregg's life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Palm Beach National Funeral Home, 10055 Heritage Farms Rd, Lake Worth, with a reception to follow at a family residence.
In honoring Gregg's memory the family welcomes flowers (links attached), or, if preferred, memorial donations made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital—a cause particularly important to Gregg and his family.
The Ackerman/Izzo family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Trustbridge Hospice for their kindness and dedicated care.
Gregg's life was a testament to compassion, strength, curiosity, and love. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all whose lives he graced.
