IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George Salvatore
Marchese
January 2, 1947 – October 21, 2025
George Salvatore Marchese
1947 – 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of George Salvatore Marchese, 78, of Lake Worth, Florida. George passed peacefully on the morning of October 21, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born in Brooklyn in 1947, George was the son of Pietro and Jean Marchese and one of five brothers (Baldo, Pete, Joey, and Anthony.)
George proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded two Purple Hearts and several other commendations for his bravery and service.
George worked with the New York City Parks Department, and carried out his own personal business where his love of trees was evident in all that he did.
George lived life to the fullest. He was a proud veteran, devoted husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie, his children Christopher and Allison, Elissa and Mara, whom he loved as his own, and his cherished grandchildren Jason, Alivia, Abigail, Juliana, Aidan, and Jake.
Always the life of the party, charismatic, witty and comedic. George had a gift for bringing people together. Whether he was playing pickleball, shooting pool, playing cards, or singing with his doo-wop groups, George brought joy, laughter, and music wherever he went. His warmth, humor, and larger-than-life personality will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
George's legacy of love, service, and song will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
