Evelyn  Lunde Whitney of Boynton Beach, FL. passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday December 8 ^th , 2018. She was 97.  She was born in West Haven, CT. the daughter of Michael and Else Lunde. She lived in Lexington, MA for many years and Boynton Beach from 1986 until her passing. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Herbert Whitney, her two children – Donald Whitney (Michelle) of Hudson, NH., Diane (Craig) Dunn of Tewksbury, MA. Her 4 grandchildren, Brian and Cindy Dunn, Rachel and Alana Whitney. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sisters Francis Hedlund, Dorothy (Rick) Waldo, sisters-in-law Dorice Wreghitt, Evelyn Lunde, Ann McCroskery, brother-in-law Don Jacobsen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Education in drafting started her on her career in drafting for engineering companies. She used her artistic abilities on church newspapers and many paintings in oil which she shared with family. She was very involved at Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA with children ministries and Bible studies. Evelyn loved her savior Jesus Christ, her family and friends. She enjoyed nature and spent many years enjoying a Chalet she helped build on Lake Sunapee. Everyone enjoyed her sense of humor and her ability to draw family together.

A future memorial service is being planned. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you honor her memory with a donation to The Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC.28607
