Evelyn Yvonne Vaughn, 84, departed this life on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in West Palm Beach, FL. Evelyn was born on July 14, 1930 in Lake Worth, FL to the late Alfred and Olive Gowen-Woods. She is survived by her husband, Richard; grandchildren, Tracy, Mark and Courtney; great-grandson, Bryce; nieces, Delores Butler, Karen Bailey and Gail Howell; nephew, Steven Butler; and dear friends, Cindy Miller and Anita Huckaby. Evelyn was predeceased by her sons, Richard Vaughn Jr., Terry Vaughn and grandson, Richard Vaughn III. Evelyn enjoyed cooking, bowling, sewing and crocheting. She will be remembered as the matriarch of our family and will be dearly missed. Family will greet friends from 12PM to 1PM on Wednesday, April 15th following with a funeral service at 1PM at the Palm Beach National Chapel in Lake Worth. Interment will be at the South FL National Cemetery, Lake Worth.
