Ellen T. Budd's Obituary
Ellen T. Budd was born August 17, 1934 in suburban Mount Olive, NC. She was the fourth child of seven, born to Jim and Lou Teachey. Their roots transcend to Teachey, Rose Hill and Wallace, North Carolina.
She departed this life in the Hospice Center of West Palm Beach, Florida on October 25, 2011.
Ellen, known to many as Earlene and Muh by family members, spent her entire life in Mount Olive.
She was a strong, out-spoken person who loved her family dearly. Her presence was always known by her conversation or attire. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and traveling. She received her academic education at Carver High School and her religious education at St. Mark. The combined knowledge attained from both, transferred the importance of education and the love of God to her children. During her life she was employed by Carver School, Bowling Chair Factory and Southern Belle Hotel.
Ellen was united in Holy Matrimony to Vandie (aka Ball) Budd in 1957. They were married for fifty two years until Vandie was welcomed home after an extended illness on February 22, 2009. During their marriage they were blessed with for children; Jasper (Dora) of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Terry (Maria) of Wellington, FL; Sylvia (Cecil) Anderson of Mount Olive, NC; and Tyrone Budd of Denver, CO. She also had the pleasure of "mothering" Keisha Pearsall of West Palm Beach FL. Prior to her union with Vandie she was also blessed with two step-children; Paulette (Carl) Dwyer of Long Island, NY and Vandie Jones of Augusta, GA.
She will also be mourned by her grandchildren; Keisha, Lynette, Montreale, Ken, Shelby, Shayla, Sheri, Shelby Renard, Nicole, Sylvia, Amanda and Robert; nineteen great-grandchildren; three sisters; Katherine Shine; Louise (David) Ingram of Mount Olive, NC; and Annie Lorraine Parks of Goldsboro, NC; two sister-in-laws; Udel Budd of Mount Olive and Lula (James) Teachey of Dudley, NC; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
Service: Funeral Service will be held in Mount Olive, NC, at a later date.
