IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward J.
Joos Iii
October 29, 1946 – December 9, 2024
Edward J. Joos III, 78, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024.
Born on October 29, 1946, in Ontonagon, Michigan, Edward was the beloved son of Edward and Juanita Joos. He graduated from Ontonagon High School and honorably served in the United States Army for 23 years.
He was a devoted husband to Edith, a loving father to four children, and a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren. Edward had a lifelong passion for coin and stamp collecting and enjoyed spending time in his garden. His military service took him across the globe, and he made lifelong memories with his family while stationed in Germany and Okinawa, Japan. Fluent in German, he often used his language skills in his work. Edward will be remembered for his wealth of knowledge and the stories he shared.
Edward is survived by his wife, Edith; his children and grandchildren; and his sisters, Amaryllis and Joann. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Curtis, and his sisters Betty and Norma.
A celebration of Edward's life was held on December 17, 2024, at Palm Beach National Chapel, followed by a military ceremony at South Florida National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation at parkinson.org in his memory.
