Eddie Carl Bankston 75, of Russellville, Alabama
Entered into external rest on Tuesday August 30th 2022
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Jane Bankston
As well as his daughter Lori Hines, also left to cherish his
memories are his son-in-law Steve and his two grandsons
Steven, Jr, And Nickolas. He is predeceased by brothers Hoyt and Charles.
Eddie was born on April 18, 1947
to cleafes and Ruth Bankston In Russellville, Alabama
they moved to Hialeah, fl. When he was 3 years old. He is a
Hialeah High graduate class of 1965. While in high school he
meet the LOVE OF HIS LIFE Mary in 1963. After high school
Eddie and Mary Shared vows of marriage on date September 23, 1965.
He was drafted into the Army in 1968 and was sent to Vietnam. In that time
he earned a degree in LEADERS TRED CCOURSE and a degree in RAD TELE
OPERATOR and became a CLASS SIGE Sergeant GRADE 5.
He was discharged in June 1969 and went back to work at
Western electric and retired in 1983. Together Eddie and Mary had two children
The first was a Baby boy who was born on October 6, 1966
called to Heaven the day after birth, I am sure Eddie is giving
him a big hug right now, and a daughter Lori born September 19, 1970
Eddie dedicated himself to building his family a house in 1973
while still working at western electric with his long-term dedication
finally, was completed in 1983 during this time he was in an accident
which broke his neck, he spent over a year in the hospital which
waiver him from his dream of his family's new home. At this
time he was retired and spent his days beautifying his Home
every day it was his passion to learn how to do everything himself.
He was easy going to say the least, he always had a kind word
Because of his strong faith.
He loved baseball and played for Municipal Auto sales as there third baseman through grade school. He loved to travel and
was a fabulous craftsman who loved to work around the house.
And he loved most spending time with his family he also was a
LIFETIME MEMBER of the VFW.
