Earl Frank Hawkins joined the legions of angels on November 20, 2015. Earl, son of Frank Hawkins and Ethel (Bates) Hawkins was born September 9, 1923 in Houlton.
Earl married the love of his life, Ethel Marie Higgins, in September of 1945. They had five children: Wade, Marilyn, Roger, Brian, and Gerald. He was a loving son, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great -grandfather as well as a generous and giving member of his church and community.
He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Ethel; daughter, Marilyn sisters, Betty and Marion; brother, Robert; granddaughter, Sarah; and grandson, Thomas Anderson. Earl is survived by his sons Wade, Roger, Brian, and Gerald; his sister Dorothy Lawton; his brothers Ted (Edward) and Dick (Richard); 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren scattered throughout the country.
A service celebrating Earl's life will be held December 5, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Boynton Beach Congregational United Church of Christ, Boynton Beach, Florida. Earl and Ethel will be interred together in a private ceremony in the family plot in Houlton, Maine. In lieu of flowers, please make donations payable in Earl's name to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Palm Beach National Chapel, Lake Worth, Florida.
